Saturday Steal 014: Feather Hem

Now this one might be delving into the archives a little bit, but back in 2010 Emma Watson really wow-ed at the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

She wore a vintage Rafael Lopez and I personally think it was one of my favourite looks EVER! Open backed, lace, feather hem, and dangerously short, it really was a show stopper.

But now, a year and a half later, Lipsy have managed to pull it out of the bag with a near identical version. Whilst their take isn't quite as sheer, other than that the shape and design are very much pay homage to the original dress that Emma wore.

At £150 it's hardly in my price range, but in comparison to the money-can't-buy original, it's still a steal in my book!

Saturday Steal 013: Disco Pants

Now Disco Pants never really got my attention. That was UNTIL... I saw Jessica Wright of TOWIE fame (yes, hardly the most iconic style icon I know, but still) rock up to her single launch party in them.

I think her outfit looked great; and not half as trashy as the gear you'll see other TOWIE cast members rock up in. And she really proved to me that you don't have to be the size 4 model you might think you need to be to wear a pair of skin tight shiny leggings!

I accept the description I just gave makes them sound atrocious, but if you search through a few blogs of girls wearing these trousers I guarantee your initial reaction will be changed.

Anyway, at £70 they were just a bit too steep for me to really be able to justify. *sob* but following a browsing session in River Island today I discovered what appear to be a near identical pair, for just £30.

Admittedly I haven't tried them on but River Island is a brand I do trust, so fingers crossed for finding the next best thing!

What are your thoughts on Disco Pants?

Saturday Steal 012: Victoria Beckham Scallop Dress

It's that time again!

Today I've gone for some Victoria Beckham. If I'm honest I think the way she's worn this dress in the picture about is a bit horrific, those boots don't make her legs look nearly as long as if she were wearing a court shoe, but never the less I love the bright colour.

I tend to shy around from bright pinks, but it's edging closer and closer to Summer and salmon and coral colours are starting to seem a lot more appealing, even more so since this the Dorothy Perkins version is currently on sale for £25!

Saturday Steal 011: Drop Waist Dress

I personally love drop waist dresses.

I think they're perfect for those occasions where you need to look a bit smarter than usual, but don't want to go all out formal.

A few have been seen on the run ways and red carpets, with Victoria Beckham's versions as seen on Michelle Williams and the lady herself are two notable examples.

Dorothy Perkins recently added one in "Ink" to their site, with a cut out back detail, which is a more than adequate substitute for the £1,195 Chloe version.

Do you own any drop waist dresses?

Saturday Style 010: Peter Pilotto

The first appearance from Lipsy in one of my Saturday steals, which is surprising considering the majrotiy of their clothes are inspired by runway dresses!

Today it's a gorgeous body con dress with a geometric style pattern.

I think I'd prefer in a longer length as getting away with a skin tight, thigh skimming dress isn't something I can really do these days, but the black sections at the side definitely help create the illusion of curves and the colours are perfect for Summer!

Lipsy's taking for just £50 is a bargain for something which is so similar to the original!

Saturday Steal 009: Peplum Dress

Jason Wu's peplum dresses have graced the red carpet countless times, from the likes of Emma Stone, Blake Lively, Emma Watson and Michelle Williams. The cut is extremely flattering for all shapes and sizes, and the embellishment really makes them stand out.

His sickly sweet pink coloured dress is quite frankly, adorable and you can now pick up an inspired version of this dress from Lipsy, for just £65.

They've opted for a strapless bustier version making it more appropriate for a night out than a hard day in the office, which does put me off, but the colour is fabulous and perfect for Summer.

Have you got any peplum dresses in your wardrobe yet?

Saturday Steal 008: Versace studs

Hello there,

TIme for another Saturday Steal and this week I've gone for studs.

Versace featured studs in some shape or form on almost every model that walked down the SS12 catwalk, and since then the trend has been adopted by nearly every high street shop, Topshop included.

They have a white bralet with gold studs that bear more than a passing resemblance to that which was on the catwalk, albeit a bit more purse friendly.

Whilst I don't think I'll be wearing it myself, I do love studs so a studded skirt or jacket is right up my street.

How do you feel about studded clothing and will you be buying any?

Saturday Steal No 007: Louboutin Studded Courts

Christian Louboutin's shoes are no doubt some of the most equisite out there. Classy, sophisticated, desireable, sexy, they have it all, and it's no secret that I'd give anything to have a pair. This week they launched their English online boutique, and after I'd spend most of my lunch hour drooling, I decided I need to have a pair of studded courts in my life.

At £695 the originals aren't going to be gracing my feet any time soon, but Missguided have cottoned on and offer an uncanny pair for just £40.99.

True they're not the real deal with the red soles, but they'd do me just fine!

Saturday Steal No 006: Versace Mermaid Print

One of my favourite collections from the Spring Summer shows was that of Versace. In Rome they showed lots of under-the-sea inspired  pieces, including shell, sea horse and mermaid printed jackets, skirts and blouses, mermaid style flowing gowns, and lots of jewel tones, including aquamarine, jade, and lime green.

I loved the quirky prints they used, and River Island have clearly taken inspiration from these with their Mermaid Print Lace Hem Top. There's actually a cut out at the back, and I think it'd look fantastic paired with some stone wash skinny jeans and a pair of summer sandals.

How do you feel about Versace's mermaid print trend?

Saturday Steal No. 005: Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats

Charlotte Olympia possibly created the cutest shoes in existance with her Kitty Flats, shoes with cats on! Who can deny that is adorable? Anyway the originals are priced at £485 a pair, steap, but Missguided have a near exact pair for just £23.99.

These shoes have also been on the feet on anyone who's anyone, with Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and Alexa Chung all fans.

What do you make of these Kitty flats?

Saturday Steal: Gucci Flapper Dress

I'm particularly proud of this Saturday steal, because it really is identical!

River Island are quite often responsible for a designer inspired dress, and this is no exception as a black, gold and white sequin dress they have coming into the store this Summer is a very convincing replica of the Gucci number which was seen going down the SS12 catwalk.

It was a stunning collection, taking inspiration from the 1920 flapper era, with dripping embellishments, fringing and metallic colours. And the River Island take on it really isn't that different.

If you're getting excited about the Great Gatsby trend which is set to be everywhere this Summer, this dress epitomises it perfectly!

Is it the sort of thing you'd wear?

Saturday Steal: Stella McCartney Spot Appliquéd Tulle Dress

It's Saturday steal time again, and today I spied a copy of a white Stella McCartney dress in River Island.

The original was worn by Cherl Cole on her 28th birthday and features a floaty light fabric, a loose fit, high neck and white discs scattered over the top.

The River Island one is very similar, and a snap at £50!

I'd definately wear this with a golden tan and some super high heels.
Do you like?

Saturday Steal: Snake Print Shoes

Colourful snake print shoes seems to the en vogue at the moment, having graced the feed of Miley Cyrus and Nicole Richie recently, to name but a few.

If you don't fancy the £795 price tag of Miley's Jimmy Choos, Topshop have both a green, red and yellow option in stock at the moment, so you can get that celebrity look at the snip of the cost!

I'm not one for loading on too many statement pieces so would probably pair with something fairly neutral, and black or nude dress.

How would you wear a pair of snake print shoes?

Saturday Steal: Mcqueen Tartan Dress

Tartan seems to the the fabric du jour for this Winter. Everyone's been wearing it, including Rihianna when she performed on the X Factor, stunner Katherine Jenkins, Emma Watson at a GQ bash and Cheryl Cole in her new Stylist Pick advert.

This dress is beautifully cut, with a tulip puffy skirt and a high neck. I like the way Emma has teamed hers with a leather jacket and black heels.

The specific dress all these ladies have been wearing is from Alexander McQueen, but as luck would have it Boohoo.com have a pretty convinving dupe for just £20!

Have you been wearing tartan this Winter?
