Saturday Steal 014: Feather Hem

Now this one might be delving into the archives a little bit, but back in 2010 Emma Watson really wow-ed at the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

She wore a vintage Rafael Lopez and I personally think it was one of my favourite looks EVER! Open backed, lace, feather hem, and dangerously short, it really was a show stopper.

But now, a year and a half later, Lipsy have managed to pull it out of the bag with a near identical version. Whilst their take isn't quite as sheer, other than that the shape and design are very much pay homage to the original dress that Emma wore.

At £150 it's hardly in my price range, but in comparison to the money-can't-buy original, it's still a steal in my book!

Saturday Style 010: Peter Pilotto

The first appearance from Lipsy in one of my Saturday steals, which is surprising considering the majrotiy of their clothes are inspired by runway dresses!

Today it's a gorgeous body con dress with a geometric style pattern.

I think I'd prefer in a longer length as getting away with a skin tight, thigh skimming dress isn't something I can really do these days, but the black sections at the side definitely help create the illusion of curves and the colours are perfect for Summer!

Lipsy's taking for just £50 is a bargain for something which is so similar to the original!

Sex and the City: Carrie's Halston Heritage Asymmetric stretch-jersey dress

In Sex and the City 2 Carrie wears about 4 dresses by Halston Heritage, everyone seems to be talking about the white V-Neck one she wears in the opening scene but I much prefer the pink asymmetric Jersey one she wears whilst in Abu Dhabi which Kesha has also been spotted in.

Inevitably lots of high street version have cropped up which are far more affordable than the Halston one which costs £216 from net-a-porter, which I happen to think isn't that bad considering it's in one of the biggest films of the year where everyone's eyes were on the clothes.

Even so, it's well out of my budget which is why the Topshop and Lipsy versions are so handy! The Lipsy one is a rather obvious replica which is being promoted as a copy cat version, with a picture of Carrie next to it. Still, the colour's very summery and it's only £35. (Also available in black and purple.)

The Topshop one is my personal favourite though and is a more original take on Halston design. It comes in black and white (although white's out of stock) and I think it would look best teamed with some gold jewellery and shoes.
