1 Dress: 5 Ways

I've got to admit I'm a sucker for a dress which can be worn multiple ways, to work, to a bar, to the shops, if it works hard it's a wardrobe must have! Topshop's basics often tick that box, including their Lace Flippy Tunic, for just £32 it'll take you to any occasion, and can be dressed up or down.

We're in that awkward time of year when Christmas is over, yet the tree is still up and (some of us) aren't required to work for a few days. So what do we do? Well I browse the internet for New Years Eve inspiration. I'm not lucky enough to be on the guest list for any swanky, dressing-up occasions, but if I was below are the looks I might very well be adopting.

Everybody's Starry Eyed

 

Recently you haven't been able to see any sort of celebrity event without at least one of these dresses making an appearance.

D&G kicked it off with their A/W show where the catwalk was littered with stars (as well as Victoria's Secret models)

Following this the same print has been in attendance at premieres, award ceremonies and it's even made the cover of at least three magazine including the September issue of Marie Claire on Anne Hathaway. There is no question that celestial inspired clothing is definately the print du jour.

And it looks as if the same print will be taking over our high streets before much longer too. Topshop and River Island particularly have been hot on the trend, with jewellery and tops adorned with the print.

My personal favourite look from this collection is on Evan Rachel Wood at the Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 premiere. Her quiff-ed hair and leather jacket make her stand out amongst the other dresses which have been wore identically to the catwalk.

My prediction is that we'll definately be seeing lots more of this print on the high street before much longer.

Chanel A/W 2010 Look book- Ice Age

At Paris fashion week Chanel's show had a very ice-queen slash native-American slash arctic feel to it. He went all out, even importing a 265 foot iceburg from Scandanavia and I'm sure I saw a photo of an actual Yeti... Think knee high fluffy boots, heavy fur coats and toasty tights with delicate dresses underneath and your Winter Wonderland is complete. Here's a few of my favourite pieces from the high street that go with this look.

As a side note, I'd sell my own mother for that fur trimmed cape dress or those feather boots. Literally, I would...
